Rather than seeking a fast solution to shed all the winter pounds, let’s use this new year to honor every healthy decision we take!

I wobbled back home carrying a big watermelon from my visit to the McKinney Farmer’s Market last weekend. The farmer provided me a sample, and wow, was I captivated! Vibrant, green, and succulent, I understood that we would need to consume this fruit for multiple days even after giving half to our friends. It was convenient that just as I was struggling to figure out how to use the enormous fruit, my cousin Priya proposed this recipe.

I deceive!! I've found that I can bend the rules of this diet a little. I’ve secretly brought in a muffin several times. OPTIMAL. MUFFIN.FOREVER!! I’ve also added some seasonings to introduce a touch of heat.

Day 4- Today, your diet consists solely of bananas and milk/yogurt. This day is the STUPIDEST day yet. I dislike it. You can simply have bananas and milk or plain yogurt. Awwww, but let’s turn this into something great! For breakfast, I prepare a smoothie using bananas, almond milk, and Greek yogurt. I have cabbage soup for lunch. For dinner, I prepare another big banana smoothie and additional cabbage soup. I create banana ice cream by freezing sliced bananas and then blending them. I also consume a few dried banana chips. It's not a tough day, rather boring, and if you dislike bananas, I empathize with you, dear. 

Day 5 - Today, consume solely tomatoes (6-8) along with protein sources such as fish, turkey, and chicken. I encountered no issues with this day because I enjoy meat and was pleased to have it! I prepared turkey sausage patties for breakfast, garnished with tomatoes. For lunch, I had grilled chicken garnished with tomatoes, seasoned with pepper, basil, and salt, accompanied by cabbage soup. For dinner, I had more Wonder Soup, but I included turkey breakfast sausage and additional tomatoes. Extremely satisfying. On this day, I became weary of the soup. Ugh!! 

Day 6- Today, it’s vegetables and protein- Unlike yesterday, you can include various vegetables apart from tomatoes. I had roasted veggies and turkey sausage for breakfast. For lunch, I enjoyed a chicken and vegetable stir-fry that tasted excellent. For dinner, I enjoyed spaghetti squash topped with tomato sauce and ground turkey. Spaghetti squash is forbidden, yet I needed to try it! Today was amazing! I didn’t consume any cabbage soup today because I was tired of the cabbage. 

Day 7- Today, it's solely fruits, veggies, and juices. I despised today. I desired additional meat. Thank goodness it's the final day. The scale shows I’m 7 pounds lighter, which is wonderful to notice. I feel pure within. Today, I'm really hungry, extremely hungry! For breakfast, I prepare a large smoothie with spinach, apples, oranges, grapes, and water. Satisfied me until it was time for lunch! For lunch, I prepare a big salad, cabbage broth, and a watermelon slush. For dinner, I make another stir-fry with riced cauliflower and roasted veggies. Today, I moderated my food intake and will keep doing so for the upcoming week during my vacation: no sugary snacks or unhealthy carbohydrates. I maintain a diet high in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. I’ve added eggs, oatmeal, and whole-grain pasta to my meals. Honey and stevia serve as great sweetening options. My caloric consumption is currently at the advised level for safe weight reduction alongside exercise.

Directions
